Follow-up to Going Back to Indoor Mass, 2/8/2021

A heart-filled thanks to those of you who responded to the survey regarding re-opening the church for indoor Masses this coming weekend!
I'd like to share a few questions and comments below that were expressed by some of you and that might be of interest to our larger community.
  • THERE IS NO OUTDOOR MASS OPTION. WHY NOT?
    • I, along with my family and some friends my age, who are getting the COVID vaccine, plan to attend Mass onsite again, but only if outdoors. It feels safer to us.
    • My family used to attend Mass by live-stream and returned back in-person for the outdoor Mass. We really don't want to return to that former option as we love receiving Eucharist and worshiping with other parish families in-person, just not indoors. Please consider offering a Mass outdoors.
    • It is good news that we can resume Mass inside the church and I'm sure it may be logistical considerations that led to your decision. But as a volunteer, I heard many parishioners express how nice it is outdoors.
  • WILL WE NEED TO RSVP FOR MASS AGAIN?
    • If so, when may do we start making our reservations?
    • If so, will we have to RSVP every week?
    • How soon before each weekend Mass will we have to reserve our seats?
    • We know it takes a lot of work for you to manage reservations, but we don't seem to come close to the maximums. So are reservations really necessary?
  • WILL A WEEKDAY MASS BE REINSTATED, TOO?
    • I hope so. Which day of the week?
  • WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FOR LENT SERVICES?
    • Hope we can do it all!
Rest assured that our staff and liturgical ministry leaders will address these important issues this week. I appreciate your genuine interest and feedback. It's important to us and I'll get back to you by the end of this week.

Thank you and God bless you all!
