Dear STL Family,

Advent, a season of joyful expectation before Christmas,
a season of hope knowing that Christ will come again!   I know two families who have waited in hope for many, many months ~ The Aguilar and Mc Carthy families have been preparing through our Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) to be received into full Communion with the Catholic Church. We will formally welcome them this Sunday, the first Sunday of Advent. Join me in congratulating Madyson Mc Carthy, Danielle Aguilar, and her daughters, Kayla, Carolyn, and Ella Aguilar on this joyous occasion.
There's a lot more going on, too...

The whole Advent message is about God’s fidelity toward us. God hears our cry, he comes to our aid, he dies and rises for us, and he remains with us (especially in the Sacraments) until the final revelation of his glory. Why else would we hope in God, unless he entrusted himself to us first?
