Dear STL Family,
We have reviewed the results and comments from the recent survey regarding the weekend Mass schedule. Unfortunately, just over 1/2 of our parishioners opened their emails and only 155 parishioners completed the survey.
As you know, during the past year we have been thinking and operating “outside the box” to enable as many parishioners as possible the opportunity to attend Mass. We have live-streamed for home viewing, worshipped inside our gathering space when possible, and even thought "outside the building" with an outdoor Mass.
As part of this survey, we received several comments from parishioners desiring to attend an outdoor Mass during this pandemic. These appeals were expressly due to their perceived risk of being indoors at this time, their vulnerability to infection if exposed, the new experience of God in the natural outdoors, and being able to join in congregational song, which is one important way to fully engage in the liturgy.
In true community spirit, we are back asking you to let us know which of the following options work for you and your family. Here are the options:
- All Masses held indoors
- Sat - 5 pm, Sun - 9 am (live-streamed), Sun - 11:30 am
- Combination of indoor/outdoor Masses
- Sat - 5 pm indoors, Sun - 9 am outdoors & live-streamed, Sun - 11:30 am indoors
- Combination of indoor/outdoor Masses with new Mass times
- Sat - 5 pm indoors, Sun - 8 am indoors & live-streamed, Sun - 10 am outdoors
