Middle School Faith Formation
There will be a delay in the start of our upcoming Faith Formation and Youth Group Programs for our Middle School and High School-aged Youth. We’re postponing the commencement of these programs to ensure we can provide the high-quality experience that our youth and families deserve.
We understand how important these programs are to your spiritual journey and to achieving a balance with your regular school, sports, and extra curricula activities. To this end, our sessions will begin the first full week of October, 2025 — see Faith Formation Registration page. I will keep you updated and thank you for your understanding. In the meantime, feel free to reach out to Jane Cruz Alfano, Parish Director, at pldir@thechurchofstluke.org.
Middle School
Middle School Faith Formation (Middle School Ministry) is for anyone in 6th-8th grade, whether or not they are preparing for a Sacrament. Middle School Ministry aims to accompany youth during this unique life-stage by connecting faith to their every-day lives and experiences. Youth group includes community-building, games, small group and large group discussions, prayer experiences, social events, and service-oriented activities, all as a means to deepen middle schoolers’ relationships with friends, Jesus, and His Church.
We also offer the opportunity for middle school tweens to complete sacraments like Baptism, First Communion, and First Reconciliation in a hybrid model.
If you have any questions regarding Middle School Faith Formation, please contact Jane Cruz Alfano at (619) 442-1697 ext. 103 or email Jane Cruz Alfano.
