Care & Support Ministries
We're here to help
Rooted in the teachings of Christ and inspired by the love of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Caring & Support Ministry offers spiritual, emotional and practical support to individuals and families in need. Through prayerful accompaniment and compassionate service, we seek to foster hope, healing and unity within our parish community.
The purpose of the Caring & Support Ministry is to embody Christ’s love by offering spiritual, emotional, and practical support to those experiencing life’s difficulties. Guided by compassion and the teachings of the Gospel
Caregiver Support
Whether caring for a loved one with Dementia or Alzheimer’s or living with one suffering from bipolar disorder, or Schizophrenia, care giving takes a toll, physically, mentally, and spirituality. We continually seek out programs, resources, support groups, referrals, and self-care curriculum to support all caregivers. And we stand ready to listen and accompany caregivers on their journey of dedication and commitment. If you would like to help us, contact Rich Warcholik at

Catholics in Recovery (CIR)
CIR blends the spiritual wisdom of 12-step programs with the sacramental life of the Catholic Church. CIR offers support for individuals and families through virtual and in-person recovery meetings, virtual and in-person, retreats, online resources, and content overlapping recovery principles with Catholic traditions. Meeting reflections guide the group discussions by looking at Scripture, recovery principles, and liturgical themes. Recovery milestones are celebrated and the Serenity Prayer, Lord’s Prayer, and St Francis Prayer are woven into the meeting format. You Are Not Alone!

The Church of St. Luke has a visitation ministry with volunteers available to visit anyone who is homebound, unable to get to Mass, recovering from a surgery or for any other reason that would like to be visited by a member of our parish to stay connected with St. Luke.
We can provide fellowship, bring books from our Parish Lending Library and at times even provide rides to Mass.
If you would like a visit or know someone in our parish who would, please contact Rich Warcholik by email: hello@thechurchofstluke.org or by phone: (619) 933-8468.
